Much awaited film ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ has been released in cinemas. The film is being touted as a high-concept love story, with elements of science fiction. Here are some interesting facts about the film.
“Baar Baar Dekho” traces a unique and unusual love story that spans over 30 years. The movie deals with how Jai Varma (Sidharth Malhotra) and Diya Varma (Katrina Kaif) ride the ups and down of their relationship through the test of time.
The movie stars Sidharth Malhotra, Katrina Kaif, Sarika, Ram Kapoor, Taaha Shah, Sayani Gupta and Rajit Kapur.
In an interview Katrina Kaif said, “Diya is an upper middle-class Delhi girl. She is free-spirited, very expressive and jubilant. I would say that ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ is an extremely emotional love story set in a new way. It’s not as much about time travel and is not a linear story — in that sense, it is something Hindi cinema has not seen as yet. It explores different stages of relationships from childhood to dating, marriage, having a family and the problems faced at different times.”
Sidharth Malhotra who portrayed the role of professor in the film said in an interview that It’s a very unique story. What happens in the life of a person from 18 years to 60. It’s not a time travel or science fiction, it’s a fictitious story. I have done prosthetics for a 60-year-old character in the film. It’s a very difficult role, but the writing in this film is wonderful. It’s an adapted screenplay, it’s a love story with a twist, where the universe gives you an option to do something different.”
It is a romantic Bollywood film directed by debutante Nitya Mehra, who previously assisted Farhan Akhtar in Lakshya and Don. In an interview Nitya said “It is a beautiful story about love and life, it is very simple and sweet, very understandable, it’s not like it is some sci-fi, time travel film at all. It is really about the small moments in life and if you don’t pay attention, your life will pass you by and not much will be left.”
The film is produced by Sunil A Lulla, Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Karan Johar.
The music of ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ is composed by Bilal Saeed, Jasleen Royal, Badshah, Arko, Abhijit Vaghani and Amaal Mallik.
The album includes popular tracks like “Kaala chashma”, “Nachde ne saare” and “Sau asmaan”.
